Weekly Fall Newsletter #9

PAST WEEKS HIGHLIGHTS & COACHES THOUGHTS:

The most important meet of this year is 4 days away. This is what we train for all season (& summer) long. The culmination of months of training come to a peak at our Moore League Championships. This is where the monster efforts come in. You have all put in 100Õs of miles in the last 2-5 months.   It is now time to put your mind to work. Your attitude & mental confidence (not cockiness) will now carry you to your best races of the year.
Your best performance will hurt...a lot! But remember, the pain is only temporary. The harder you push , & the more it hurts, the better the satisfaction is when your race is over. Thursday is the type of race that you will likely remember for the rest of your lives.  Lets make it a great memory!  Walk away from this last Moore League meet knowing that you gave it every possible ounce of effort (see my favorite quote below) & then you can proudly walk away form this season a winner...& remember it for the rest of your life!

ŌIf I am still standing at the end of the race, hit me with a board and knock me down, because that means I didn't run hard enough.Ķ

Bonus prize at MondayÕs practice for the first NEW RUNNER who emails me the author of this quote.
